Installing Cylinder Head (Cylinders 1 -3)

Carefully fit cylinder head on the cylinder block.

Screw in new  cylinder head screws -1 to 8-  by hand.

Tighten cylinder-head screws in the sequence -1 to 8-  .

> Initial tightening 5 Nm (3.5 ftlb.) 

> Tightening torque 50 Nm (37 ftlb.) 

> Loosen all screws 0 Nm (0 ftlb.) 

> Initial tightening 4 Nm (3 ftlb.) 

> Subsequent tightening 12 Nm (9 ftlb.) 

-1 to 4-  : > Torque angle 65 Grad 

-5 to 8-  : > Torque angle 60 Grad 

-1 to 4-  : > Final tightening torque angle 65 Grad 

-5 to 8-  : > Final tightening torque angle 60 Grad

Chain housing screws

Screw in and tighten screws -2-  .

> Tightening torque 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.)

Coolant collection unit

Clip in clip -3-  .

Connect and lock electric plug connection -2-  .

Screw in and tighten screw on line bracket -1-  .

> Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)

Lines on cylinder head

> Tightening torque 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.)

Coolant regulator at cylinder head

Replace O-rings.

Screw in and tighten bearing pins -2-  .

> Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)

> Tightening torque 15 Nm (11 ftlb.)

Screw on generator

Visually inspect hydraulic tappets -1 and 2-  for wear and replace them if necessary.

Coat hydraulic tappets -1 and 2-  with engine oil.

Insert bucket tappets -1-  and switching tappets -2-  in accordance with allocation into the fitting bores in the cylinder head.
