Marking Engine Number

Information 

• Do not use steel stamping numbers to mark the engine number on direct fuel injection engines. 
• Due to the material composition, the engine number must be engraved using the specified tool. 

1. > VAS 221 003 - Marker pen-1-  to compressed air supply.

   Turn the adjusting ring -Arrows-  to open or close the compressed air supply.

   First test the tool on a piece of waste material.

2. Use the marking pen to engrave the engine number into the crankcase.
