Securing Engine (Lowered By 90 To 100 Mm)

Information

When fitting the engine mount screws, make sure that the engine mount bores are aligned with the engine mount bracket to prevent damage to the thread.

Information

Adjust tilt angle of the lifting platform plate -1- according to the installation position of the engine/transmission unit -Arrow- .

Secure the engine.

Screw securing engine mount to engine mount bracket

Use > VAS 6832 - Master Gear unit elevating platform with > 9769 - retainer plate and > 9769/1 - support to lift the engine into installation position.

Position engine mount -1- on both sides on the engine mount bracket.

Replace screw -2- .

Screw in and tighten new screw -2- .

> Initial tightening 70 Nm (52 ftlb.)

> Final tightening + 45°
Vehicles with PDCC:
Secure holier for hydraulic lines -1- on both sides.

Holders for hydraulic lines

Position holders for hydraulic lines -1-.

Screw in and tighten screws -2- .

> Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)
Secure refrigerant lines -1 and 2- .

Refrigerant line connections in engine compartment

Position refrigerant lines -1 and 2- with new sealing rings.

Replace screws -3 and 4- .

Screw in and tighten new screws -3 and 4- and counter using > 9822 - assembly tool at the same time.

> Tightening torque 14 Nm (10.3 ftlb.)
Complete the remaining steps as described for steps 4 to 20 Securing engine (lowered by 50 to 60 mm).
