Lowe Ring The Engine By 90 To 100 Mm

Information 

There are two ways of lowering the engine

• Lower engine by 50 to 60 mm (lifting platform can be used) 
• Lower engine by 90 to 100 mm (lifting platform cannot be used) 

1. Perform steps 1 to 16 in the same was as lowering the engine by 50 to 60 mm. 
2. Disconnect refrigerant lines -1 and 2-  .

   Refrigerant line connections in engine compartment

   Unscrew screws -3 and 4-  at connection points -Arrows-  .

   Close off line connection; using suitable stoppers and set refrigerant lines -1 and 2-  aside.

3. Only for vehicles with PDCC: 

   Remove holders for hydraulic lines -1-  on both sides.

   Unscrew and remove screws -2-  .

   Remove holder for hydraulic lines -1- 

4. Prepare tools for lowering the engine.

   > 1001IN TOOLS FOR REMOVING UNITS AND WORKING ON THE ASSEMBLY SUPPORT 

5. Prepare engine for lowering.

   Support the engine using > VAS 6832 - Master Gear unit elevating platform  with > 9769 - retainer plate  and > 9769/1 - support  .

   Unscrew screws securing engine mount -2-  to engine mount bracket -1-  on both sides.

   Information 

   Adjust tilt angle of the lifting platform plate -1-  according to the installation position of the engine/transmission unit - Arrow-  .

6. Lower the engine by 90 to 100 mm (without lowering tool).

   Engine to end position

   Carefully lower the engine by 90 to 100 mm.  Lowered state -Dimension A-  is reached at 195 mm.
