Removing Front Drive Shaft (Without Central Bolts)

You will need a second mechanic to help you with this step.

Loosen front drive shaft.

Nut securing drive shaft to wheel hub
1. 1.1 Get a second mechanic to press the brake.
2. 1.2 Unscrew nut -1- using > 9471 - socket wrench .
Remove front drive shaft.

Puller set VAS 6926
1. 2.1 Secure front drive shaft using suitable aids to prevent it from falling down.
2. 2.2 Press front drive shaft out of the wheel hub using > VAS 6926 - puller set-1- .
3. 2.3 Remove front drive shaft.
Check the drive shaft and axle boots for damage, particularly at the joint on the wheel side and the profile shaft, and replace them if necessary.
