Installing Drive Belt

Guide drive belt -1- past the vibration damper, flat side first.
Note the previously marked running direction when re-installing.

Position drive belt -1- on vibration damper -2- .

Guide drive belt past the left of the coolant pump pulley and then slide downwards past -Arrow- flat side first.

Position drive belt -1- on coolant pump pulley -2- .

Fit drive belt -1- onto air-conditioning compressor pulleys -2- , deflection roller -3- and generator -4- .

Drive belt on pulleys
Tension the drive belt -1- .
Pre-position drive belt -1- on tensioning roller -2- .

Attach > 9952 - ring wrench to hexagon -3- , turn clockwise as far as it will go and then hold in this position.

Fit drive belt -1- on tensioning roller -2- .

Allow tensioning roller -2- to slowly turn back to its original position.

Drive belt
Check that the drive belt is seated and tensioned correctly.
Install spacer sleeve -1- .
Position spacer sleeve -1- .

Fit screw -2- and tighten using > 9953 - socket-wrench insert .

Observe different tightening torque for using the special too'!

> Tightening torque 53 Nm (39.1 ftlb.)
