Checking Drive Belt

Information
- Replace the drive belt if it is even just slightly damaged (even outside of a maintenance interval).
- If the drive belt must be replaced, it can be cut to facilitate removal.

Information
- Perform the test on the drive belt while it is fitted.
- Use an endoscope for testing.
- Visually check the condition of the fitted drive belt using the > VAS 6748 - Video Endoscope
and a torch. Check the belt routing on both sides as far as possible.
If you find the slightest damage, the belt must be replaced.

- Check the pulley in the drive belt groove area for foreign bodies and remove them if necessary.
- Check the pulleys for damage and foreign bodies in the running grooves using > VAS 6748 - Video Endoscope

Replace damaged components if necessary.
