Subsequent Work For Diagnostic Scopes
Information
- After removing, installing or replacing, perform the "Sensor wheel adaptation" function using the PIWIS Tester.
- To actively teach the adaptation, perform an adaptation drive together with another person.
- Reset sensor wheel adaptation:
Connect PIWIS Tester to the vehicle.
Select Engine electronics (DME) control unit .
Select Maintenance/repairs tab.
Perform Sensor wheel adaptation reset .
Follow the instructions on the PIWIS Tester .
- Perform sensor wheel adaptation with an adaptation drive
.
Get a second person to check the PIWIS Tester while you are driving.
Select Engine electronics (DME) control unit .
Select the "Actual values/input signals" tab.
Select the group "General" .
Select the actual value "Engine speed" .
Select the "M_Misfiring" group.
Select the actual value "M090_Sensor wheel adaptation" .
Value "1" = adapted and (value "0" = not adapted).
- Perform sensor wheel adaptation with an adaptation drive
.
Condition: Engine at operating temperature
Perform adaptation drive until M090 actual value displays "1" == Adaptation is complete .
- Procedure:
Adaptation drive:
