Removing Flywheel

- > VAS 6766 - Counter-hold tool-1-
must be fitted on the engine flange.
Position counter-hold tool on the flywheel ring gear -2- .
Secure the counter-hold tool on the transmission flange using an M10 fastening screw -3- and nut -4- .

NOTE: Removing and installing flywheel- Leaks
- Risk of damage to the flywheel and adjacent components
→ Be very careful during removal and installation.
→ See Technical Information releases about the flywheel.
- Loosen and unscrew fastening screws (internal serration, micro-self-locking, M10 x 29) on the flywheel. Carefully remove the flywheel.
Replace fastening screws.
Information
- Check the friction surface of the flywheel.
- Replace flywheel if it is damaged or discoloured.
- Visually inspect the friction surface on the flywheel.
