Fitting insertion tool on crankshaft flange
Information
- Insertion tool 9699 must be left in place for two to three minutes after fitting the sealing ring so that' the sealing lip can settle into position on the crankshaft flange.
- Turn the hexagon-head bolt clockwise as far as it will go.
Leave the tool in place for two minutes.
Pulling in sealing ring
- Remove insertion tool.
Turn hexagon-head bolt anti-clockwise until the guide screws are still just visible.
Loosen the two cheese head bolts and remove the tool.
- Check that the sealing ring is seated correctly.
To do this, take measurements at four points 90° apart, from the crankshaft flange surface to the sealing ring (flat surface).
> Dimension 7 mm +/- 0.3 mm
- Leave support sleeve -1-
