Disassembling Crankshaft

NOTE:
Dirt and contamination
- Risk of damage to units or components
→ Protect components from dirt and contamination.
→ Clean or replace dirty components.

- Fit > P209a - retainer plate
on crankshaft flange (flywheel side) using two flywheel bolts.IMPORTANT: Fine thread.
Clamp the crankshaft -1- in a vice using > P209a - retainer plate-2- .

- Unscrew connecting rod bolts from connecting rod cylinders 1-3.
Remove connecting-rod bearing cap, connecting rod and bearing shells and place on a surface arranged according to cylinders.
Replace connecting rod bolts.
- Clean the crankshaft and connecting rods.
