Lifting The Vehicle

WARNING:
Vehicle can fall down
- Risk of squashing or crushing
- Risk of damage to the vehicle
- Do not place any solid objects under the raised vehicle.
- Ensure that the lifting platform is prevented from lowering.
- Remove solid objects before lowering the vehicle.
- Raise the vehicle only at the take-up points provided.
CAUTION:
Driving off while the vehicle is on the lifting platform
- Risk of squashing
- Risk of damage to components
- Raise the vehicle until the wheels cannot touch the ground.
- Drive vehicle onto the lifting platform. Pay particular attention to the following:
- When driving onto a lifting platform, ensure that there is sufficient distance between the lifting platform and the vehicle.
- For work in the front footwell, raise the vehicle in such a way that the doors can be opened wide enough.
- If > 9453 - access ramps are used, make sure that they cannot slip when the vehicle is driven onto them.
- > 9453 - Access ramps
may be required for GT or extremely low vehicles
, depending on the lifting platform.
Information
Align support plates of the lifting platform so that they are centred and at the same height under the specified jacking points on the vehicle.
- Make sure that the respective underbody covers can be removed and installed.
