Installing Rear Axle Carrier

  1. Fit rear axle carrier -1-  on both sides of the vehicle at the rear axle carrier side section.

    Securing rear axle carrier

    1. 1.1  Position rear axle carrier in installation position using > VAS 6931 - Transmission and Engine Jack  .
    2. 1.2  Tighten screws -2-  . > Initial tightening 70 Nm (51.6 ftlb.)  > Final tightening + 180° 
    3. 1.3  Tighten screws -3-  . > Initial tightening 70 Nm (51.6 ftlb.)  > Final tightening + 180° 
    4. 1.4  > VAS 6931 - Transmission and Engine Jack  must now be lowered.
  2. Fit anti-roll bar on both sides of the vehicle at the connecting link -1-  .

    Mounting for connecting link (PDCC)

    1. 2.1  Tighten nut -2-  and counter at the articulated bolt on the connecting link.

      Connecting link (conventional): > Initial tightening 40 Nm (29.5 ftlb.)  > Final tightening + 30° 

      Connecting link (PDCC): > Initial tightening 50 Nm (36.9 ftlb.)  > Final tightening angle + 50 (37 ftlb.) °
