Removing Centre Coolant Pipe
Information
The procedure for removing and installing is described for one side as an example. The procedure for the other side is almost identical.
- Only for all-wheel drive vehicles:
Support the front axle final drive with an > VAS 6931 - engine and gearbox jack .
- Only for all-wheel drive vehicles:
Remove the mounting plate for -1- rear cardan shaft mounting.
Unscrew and remove screws -2- .
Unscrew nut -3- and counter at screw -4- at the same time.
Remove the mounting plate for rear cardan shaft mounting -1- .

- Remove the -1-
tunnel reinforcement.
Unscrew and remove screws -2- .
Unclip the holder for -3- coolant pipes and remove the tunnel -1- reinforcement.

- Remove the strut for the -1-
front coolant pipe holder.
Unscrew and remove screws -2- .
Unclip the clips -3- and remove the -1- front coolant pipe holder strut.

- Remove holder for the coolant pipes -1-
.
Release and open holder -1- for coolant pipes.
Unclip the vent line -3- and center coolant pipes -2- .
Remove holder for coolant pipes -1- .

- Centre coolant pipe, left only:
Disconnect the vent line -2- from the center coolant pipe -1- .
Unclip vent line -2- from clips -3- .

- Removing the -1-
center coolant pipe.
Unlock spring clamps -4- and detach the center coolant pipe -1- from the front -2- and rear coolant pipe -3- .
Collect emerging coolant.
Remove the center coolant pipe -1- .
