Removing Coolant Distributor Housing

WARNING: Hot fluid

→ Let the fluid cool down.

→ Wear personal protective gear.

→ Ensure that there is good ventilation.

→ Avoid contact with caustic fluid.

→ If you do come into contact, wash off immediately with plenty of warm water and contact a doctor if necessary.

Information

Despite the fact that the coolant has been drained, residual amounts of coolant can still emerge at the joints during removal. Have sufficient collecting containers and cloths to hand.

To remove the distributor housing, the unit carriers do not have to be removed - they just need to be loosened and lifted up off the distributor housing.

Loosen air-conditioning compressor -1- .
Unscrew and remove screws -2 and 4- .

Lift the air-conditioning compressor -1- slightly off the distributor housing.

Vehicles without Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC): Remove bracket for deflection roller -2- .
Unscrew and remove screws -1- .

Vehicles with Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC): Remove pulley for pump (PDCC) and loosen pump (PDCC).

Unscrew and remove screws -1- .

Remove coolant distributor housing.
Information

If the fastening screws cannot be removed easily, loosen the fastening screws as much as possible and remove them together with the distributor housing during removal.

Unscrew and remove screw -1- .

Unscrew and remove screw -2- .

Collect emerging coolant.
