Removing Coolant Regulator

WARNING: Hot fluid 
  • Danger of scalding 

    → Let the fluid cool down.

    → Wear personal protective gear.

  1. Remove heat shield -1-  .

    Unscrew and remove screws -2-  .

    Remove heat shield -1-  .

  2. Remove coolant regulator -2-  .

    Pull off cable plugs -1-  .

    Remove coolant regulator -2-  from the coolant regulator housing.

    Collect any coolant that leaks out in a suitable container.

    Information 

    If the seal is damaged, the coolant regulator must be replaced.

  3. Check the seal -2-  on the coolant regulator -1-  .

  4. Clean sealing surfaces.
