Installing Coolant Regulator Housing

Information 

Replace seals and O-rings.

Information 

To prevent damage to the molded seals, install coolant pipes carefully.

Information 

• Coat O-rings, hoses and lines in the cooling system with Kluberplus Gel (Part No. 000.043.205.93). 

1. Install new O-rings and coat them with the prescribed lubricant.
2. Position coolant regulator housing -1-  (-Direction of arrow upwards-  ).

3. Push coolant regulator housing -1-  on the coolant pipe over the O-rings -2-  (-Left in direction of arrow-  ).

4. Secure coolant regulator housing -1-  .

   Screw on coolant regulator housing

   Fit and tighten screw -2-  .

   > Tightening torque 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.) 

5. Install coolant supply pipe -1-  .

   Tighten the screw.

   > Tightening torque 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.) 

6. Secure coolant pipe -1-  at the coolant pump.

   Tighten screws -2-  .

   > Tightening torque 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.) 

7. Install coolant pipe -1-  at the bottom.

   Lower coolant pipe

   Fit coolant pipe -1-  on the coolant regulator housing -arrow-  .

   Secure coolant hose with a spring band clamp -2-  .

   Tighten screw -3-  on holder.

   > Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.) 

8. Install coolant hose -1-  at the left-hand side of the engine compartment.

   Fit coupling on coolant hose -2-  .

   Check that the coolant hose is fitted securely.
