Installing Coolant Pump (With Housing)

Replace O-rings on the coolant pipes.
Information
- The coolant pump manufacturer supplies the coolant pump with housing (console) complete as a spare part and the coolant pump as an individual part.
- If the component is damaged, replace the defective component (single part or module).
- There is a separate description for the coolant pump as an individual part.
Information
- Coat O-rings, hoses and lines in the cooling system with Kluberplus Gel (Part No. 000.043.305.39).
- Coat new gaskets and O-rings with the specified lubricant.
- Install coolant pump with housing -3-
.
Fit coolant pump -3- and fit and tighten screws -2- .
> Tightening torque 33 Nm (24 ftlb.)
Connect vacuum hose -1- .

- Install coolant guide with new
gaskets.
Position coolant guide -1- and fit and tighten screws -2- .
> Tightening torque 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.)
Coolant guide
- Secure coolant regulator housing -4-
with new
gaskets.
Complete housing -4- is to be placed onto the coolant line -5- and attached -Arrow- .
Fit and tighten screws -1 to 3- .
Screw -1- : > Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)
Screw -2- : > Tightening torque 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.)
Screws -3- : > Tightening torque 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.)
Fit cable plug on the coolant regulator.

- Fit and tighten screw -2-
on the coolant pump holder -1-
.
> Tightening torque 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.)
Coolant pump holder
- Install coolant pipe -1-
.
Fit new O-rings.
Install coolant pipe -1- on the coolant regulator housing.
Connect coolant hose -4- and close the spring band clamp -3- .
Fit and tighten screw -2- .
> Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)
