Removing Additional Coolant Pump

Drain coolant at the connection point for the coolant pipe (left tunnel) -3- .
Open plug-in coupling at the connection point and collect coolant.

Then, re-fit plug-in coupling.

Coolant lines/vent line (connection point in tunnel)
Disconnect coolant hose -2- at the front of the final drive -1- .
Loosen spring clamp and pull off plug-in coupling -3- on the coolant connection piece.

Collect remaining emerging coolant.

Coolant hose on all-wheel final drive

Remove restraining strap -1- on fuel tank at the left.

Unscrew left screw -2- and disengage restraining strap on the front-axle carrier -5- .

Pull off retaining clip -3- on wiring harness and disconnect cable plug -4- on additional coolant pump.

Recommended tools for loosening the screws on the additional coolant pump:

Tools for screws on additional coolant pump

1	1/4-inch extension (shown on the right screw) with ratchet or a small torque wrench
2	1/4-inch flexible-head socket-wrench insert, Torx E10
3	M6 screw, left side

Loosen additional coolant pump -1- with holder -3- .
Unscrew screws -2- using the recommended tool (from the wheel housing side).

Additional coolant pump on front-axle carrier
Disconnect coolant hose -1- going to the T-piece on the coolant pipe in the front left wheel housing.
Pull spring clamp -2- for the plug-in coupling into unlocked position and pull off the coupling.

Unclip vent line -3- at the holder.

Loosen holder -4- on the anti-roll-bar mount using a plastic wedge -5- .

Pull coolant hose out of the holder -arrow- .

(Carefully!) compressing the wheel carrier will give you better access for unclipping and clipping in the coolant hose on the holder.
