Refilling Coolant
Information
- Only use Genuine Porsche coolant.
- Never mix coolant with other coolants.
Information
- The quantity of coolant available should exceed the amount required to fill the system by about 2 litres in order to prevent air being sucked in.
- An antifreeze content of -35°C corresponds to a mixture ratio of 50:50 (coolant/water).
- Make sure that the cooling system on the vehicle is closed.
- Fill the NEW
container with coolant.

- Select Pressure test
in the menu and perform hydraulic leak test.
Enter the test duration > Time 120 s .
Enter the pressure difference > Pressure 40 mbar .
Enter the pressure test > Pressure 2000 mbar .
Follow the instructions on the screen.
When the check is complete, the screen shows the result.
- Select Vacuum test
in the menu and perform hydraulic leak test.
Enter the test duration > Time 120 s .
Holding time > Time 240 s
Enter the absolute pressure > Pressure + 40 mbar .
Enter the pressure difference > Pressure 10 mbar .
Follow the instructions on the screen and when the test is complete, the screen displays the positive or negative result.
Repeat the process if necessary.
- Select Fill the system
in the menu and start filling the system.
Enter the filling capacity.
When the filling process is complete, the display shows how much coolant was filled in.
When the filling process is complete, the servicing equipment automatically starts cleaning the hoses.
Follow the instructions on the display and never interrupt the process.
- Remove adapter with service hose for > VAS 531 011 - cooling system servicing equipment from the coolant reservoir.
- Close the cap on the expansion tank.
- Bleed the cooling system and observe preconditions.
190107 BLEED THE COOLING SYSTEM
Vent GT models : Leave the engine running until warm and carry out a test drive if possible.
- Check the coolant level in the coolant reservoir and correct it if necessary.
190101 CHECKING COOLING SYSTEM
Only check the coolant level when the coolant temperature is at least 15° Celsius.
