Measuring Front Brake Disc - Lateral Runout (Wheel Hub]

Information
The front face of the wheel hub must not be corroded.
The front face of the wheel hub must be cleaned using a fine emery cloth if necessary.
- Measure lateral runout of the wheel hub.

> 9510/1 - Adapter plate-2-
must be fitted on the wheel hub. Then, screw in and tighten wheel bolts.
> Tightening torque 160 (l18 ftlb.) Nm
- 1.2 Secure dial gauge -1- with ball joint arm from > Nr.147-1 - dial gauge set with ball joint arm at a suitable position on the wheel suspension.
- 1.3 Adjust dial gauge -1- from > Nr.147-1 - dial gauge set with ball joint arm so that the dial gauge -1- is touching the outer edge of the wheel hub with slight preload.

Set dial gauge -1-
from > Nr.147-1 - dial gauge set with ball joint arm
to zero, turn the wheel hub at the > 9510/1 - adapter plate-2-
slowly by one full turn and check the deflection of the dial gauge -1-

must be fitted on the wheel hub. Then, screw in and tighten wheel bolts.
- If the lateral runout of the wheel hub is not within the tolerance range:
Replace wheel hub.

Maximum lateral runout of the wheel hub: > Measured value 0.03 mm - Only
if the lateral runout of the brake disc is not within the tolerance range, but the lateral runout of the wheel hub is within the tolerance range:
Replace front brake disc.
