Preliminary Work

Information
- The battery voltage must not fall below 12.5 volts during the fuel pressure check.
- Connect a suitable battery charger.
- Connect adjustable charger.
Set charge voltage to 12.5 volts!
- Attach or mount a warning sign -1-
in a clearly visible position on the vehicle.

Information
- The position of the fuse for the fuel pump can be found in the current Porsche After Sales vehicle electrical system documentation (PAB) fuse assignment.

- Relieve fuel pressure in the system.
- 3.1 Pull out fuse for fuel pump.
- 3.2 Start the engine and wait until the engine cuts out.
- 3.3 Re-insert fuse for fuel pump.
- Start the engine, wait until it cuts out and then re-insert the fuse.
- Remove engine-compartment blower cover and engine-compartment blower at the left.
WARNING:
Highly inflammable or explosive materials
- Danger of fire or explosion
→ Avoid contact with hot parts or sources of ignition.
→ Use suction to remove ignitable vapors.
→ Attach warning sign in a clearly visible position.
→ Contain leaked media using non-flammable absorbent material and put it in a container designed for this purpose for disposal in accordance with local requirements.
→ Secure collection containers/vessels to prevent them from tipping over.
WARNING:
Danger of fire due to escaping fuel and hot engine components
- Danger of material damage and injury
→ Only check fuel pressure and delivery rate when the engine is cold.
