Installing Fuel Line (Low-Pressure Side)

Fuel line (low-pressure side)

1. 1.1 Position fuel line on low-pressure side -1-  .
2. 1.2 Coat the thread and cone on the union nut -5- with Microgleit DF977S  .
3. 1.3 Fit union nut -5-  by hand.
4. 1.4 Attach holder -6-  .
5. 1.5 Secure holder for fuel pressure sensor.
   1. 1.5.1 Screw in fuel pressure sensor screw -4-  and tighten.

      > Tightening torque 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.) 

   2. 1.5.2 Clip in clips -3-  .
   3. 1.5.3 Connect electric plug connection for fuel pressure sensor -2-  and lock.
6. 1.6 Tighten union nut -5-  .

   > Initial tightening 8 Nm (6 ftlb.) 

   > Final tightening torque angle + 50° + 10° 

7. 1.7 Tighten union nut -5-  .

   > Initial tightening 8 Nm (6 ftlb.) 

   > Final tightening torque angle + 50° + 10°

Engine suspension eyelet

1. 3.1 Position engine suspension eyelet -1-  .
2. 3.2 Screw in and tighten screws -4-  .

   > Tightening torque 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.) 

3. 3.3 Screw in and tighten screw -3-  .

   > Tightening torque 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.) 

4. 3.4 Screw in and tighten screw -2-  .

   > Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)

Low-pressure fuel line (lower section)

1. 4.1 Position lower section -1-  .
2. 4.2 Coat the thread and cone on the union nut -2-  with Microgleit DF977S.
3. 4.3 Fit union nut -2-  by hand.
4. 4.4 Clip in holder -4-  .
5. 4.5 Screw in and tighten screw on bracket -3-  .

   > Tightening torque 32 Nm (24 ftlb.) 

6. 4.6 Tighten union nut -2-  .

   > Initial tightening 8 Nm (6 ftlb.) 

   > Final tightening torque angle + 50° + 10°

Fuel line on low-pressure side (top section)

1. 5.1 Position top section -1-  and fit onto bolt.
2. 5.2 Connect and lock plug-in coupling -3-  .
3. 5.3 Screw on and tighten nuts -2-  .

   > Tightening torque 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.)
