Installing Fuel Tank
- Danger of fire or explosion
→ Avoid contact with hot parts or sources of ignition.
→ Use suction to remove ignitable vapors.
→ Attach warning sign in a clearly visible position.
- Danger of chemical burns
→ Wear personal protective gear.
→ Ensure that there is good ventilation.
→ Avoid contact with caustic fluid.
→ If you do come into contact, wash off immediately with plenty of warm water and contact a doctor if necessary.
Fuel vapors from empty fuel tank
- Danger of injury and material damage due to risk of explosion
→ If the fuel tank has been emptied or replaced, it must be filled with fuel immediately after carrying out repairs.

Get another person to help you to remove and install the fuel tank.
- Install fuel tank.
- 1.1 Place the fuel tank in installation position with the help of another person.
- 1.2 Engage clips -2- in the body.
- 1.3 Fit and tighten two screws (M8 x 40) -1- .

Information
- Check O-rings on the plug-in couplings and replace them if necessary.
- Clean plug connection and coolant hoses before assembly.
- Coat O-rings and coolant hoses with Kluber Plus Gel (Part No. 000.043.205.93).
- Remove stoppers before fitting the coolant lines and hoses.
- Install coolant pipe at the left and right.
- 2.1 Fit spring clamps and connect coolant pipes.
- 2.2 Clip in vent line.
- Tighten screws on the holders.
- Clip lines into the clip -1-
on the fuel tank.

- Connect fuel and vent lines -A-
and check that they are fitted securely.
Lock fuel line -B- (if fitted).

- Connect cable plugs -arrow-
and check that they are fitted securely.

- Secure the filler neck.
- 7.1 Position clamp on the flange on the fuel tank.
- 7.2 Push the filler neck onto the flange on the fuel tank.
- 7.3 Tighten internal Torx M6 screws -1-
for the filler neck.

- 7.4 Press filler neck onto the flange -A- , position the clamp and secure the filler neck with the clamp -B- .
Installing filler neck

Fuel system is pressurized
- Risk of eye injuries
→ Wear personal protective gear
→ Release pressure by carefully pulling off lines and hoses

- Install fuel tank -1-

Fuel tank
- 1.1 Guide the fuel tank -1- into installation position from below with the help of a second person and insert the clips.
- 1.2 Fit tensioning strap -2-
and screw in and tighten screws -3-
.
> Tightening torque 23 Nm (17 ftlb.)
- Fit supply line and tank vent line in -direction of arrow A-
and check that they are seated firmly.
If fitted: Engage lock in -direction of arrow B- .

- Connect and lock electric plug connections for fuel level sensor in -direction of arrow-

- Position filler neck.
- 4.1 Connect filler neck and spring band clamp -direction of arrow A- to the connection.

- Screw in and tighten filler neck screws -1-
.
> Tightening torque 10 Nm (7.5 ftlb.)

- Secure the filler neck.
- 6.1 Position and secure spring band clamp for filler neck using > VAS 6890 - spring band clamp pliers (-B - ).

- Clip tank vent lines -1- into the fuel tank.
