Preliminary Work

  1. Only for vehicles with front axle lift system:  Deactivate front axle lift system using the switch in the vehicle (lower the vehicle).
  2. Only for all-wheel drive vehicles and for rear-wheel drive vehicles on which the wheel bearing/wheel hub will be replaced:  Loosen drive shaft/axle journal at the wheel hub. Get another mechanic to help by pressing the brake.
    1. 2.1  Pull off hub cap -1-  using > 9229/1 - puller hook  .

    2. 2.2  Screw off nut -2-  .

      Mounting for drive shaft/axle journal on wheel hub

  3. Remove cover.

    >  WM, 852219 REMOVING AND INSTALLING (TECHNICAL EQUIPMENT SPACE) COVER 

  4. Remove brake disc.

    465019 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT BRAKE DISC

  5. Remove front speed sensor.

    451119 REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT SPEED SENSOR
