Installing Front Drive Shaft (With Central Bolts)

You will need a second mechanic to help you with this step.

Prepare front drive shaft -1- .

Drive shaft, complete
1. 1.1 Replace plates -2- and collared cheese head bolts (M8 x 45) -3- .
2. 1.2 Replace hexagon nut (M22 x 1.5) -4- .
3. 1.3 Replace protective ring -5- and fit new protective ring -5- .
Coat splines on the drive shaft with Molub Alloy Paste TA . > Drive shaft splines

Nut securing drive shaft to wheel hub
1. 3.1 Insert front drive shaft and secure it using suitable aids to prevent it from falling down.
2. 3.2 Get a second mechanic to press the brake.
3. 3.3 Tighten nut -1- .
  > Initial tightening 250 Nm (184.4 ftlb.)
  
  > Final tightening + 60°
