Assembling Engine

NOTE:
Dirt and contamination
- Risk of damage to units or components
→ Protect components from dirt and contamination.
→ Clean or replace dirty components.
Information
- Carry out all engine repairs only using the specified tools.
- Only these tools have been tested and approved.

- If a short engine will be used following disassembly, the transport eyebolt from the "old engine" must be fitted on the crankcase.
Information
Always replace seals and O-rings.
- Grease all seals (except in the cooling system) with Kluber Syntheso Glep lubricant (Part No. 000.043.204.68).
Information
Install oil pan only after installing the coolant pipe for the coolant pump.
- Assemble crankshaft.
- Insert crankshaft into the crankcase.
- Install pistons.
- Install coolant pipe -1- with new O-rings.
Fit and tighten screws -2- .
> Tightening torque 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.)
