Checking Delivery Rate

WARNING: Highly inflammable or explosive materials 
  • Danger of fire or explosion 

    → Avoid contact with hot parts or sources of ignition.

    → Use suction to remove ignitable vapours.

    → Attach warning sign in a clearly visible position.

    → Contain leaked media using non-flammable absorbent material and put it in a container designed for this purpose for disposal in accordance with local requirements.

    → Secure collection containers/vessels to prevent them from tipping over.

Information 

  1. Connect the PIWIS Tester  in the passenger compartment and switch on ignition.

    Switch off all loads, such as radio, air conditioning, etc.

    Switch on the Tester and select the relevant vehicle.

    Information 

    • There is no need to create a Vehicle Analysis Log (VAL). 

    Follow the instructions on the Tester! 

  2. Select DME  in the control unit search screen.
  3. Switch to the Drive links/checks  menu item.
  4. Select the Drain tank  function.
  5. Start the Drain tank  function by pressing F8 = Start and start the stopwatch at the same time.

    Measuring time: 30 seconds! 

    Collect emerging fuel in a container you have to hand.

  6. Press F8 = Stop after 30 seconds to deactivate the function.

    Exit the function.

  7. Pour the collected fuel into the measuring cup and compare the quantity with the vehicle-specific values listed below.

    This gives the minimum pump rate. 

    Rear-wheel drive vehicles: 

    > Volume 2000 cm 3 

    All-wheel drive vehicles: 

    > Volume 2200 cm 3 

  8. Switch off ignition, switch off the PIWIS Tester  and disconnect adapter line in the vehicle.
