Assembling Engine

NOTIFICATION 

Dirt and contamination 

• Risk of damage to units or components 

  → Protect components from dirt and contamination.

  → Clean or replace dirty components.

Information 

• Carry out all engine repairs only using the specified tools. 
• Only these tools have been tested and approved. 

Information 

• If a short engine will be used following disassembly, the transport eyebolt from the "old engine" must be fitted on the crankcase. 

Information 

Always replace seals and O-rings.

• Grease all seals (except in the cooling system) with Kluber Syntheso Glep lubricant (Part No. 000.043.204.68). 

Information 

Install oil pan only after installing the coolant pipe for the coolant pump.

1. Assemble crankshaft.

2. Insert crankshaft into the crankcase.
3. Install pistons.

   131020 REMOVING AND INSTALLING PISTONS

4. Install coolant pipe -1-  with new O-rings  .

   Fit and tighten screws -2-  .

   > Tightening torque 13 Nm (9.5 ftlb.)
