Removing Engine-Compartment Blower

WARNING: Moving components
  • Danger of limbs being trapped or severed

    → Do not reach into the danger area.

    → Secure the system to prevent it from being activated accidentally.

    → Keep third parties away from the danger area.

  1. Unscrew cap on coolant reservoir -1 and oil filler neck -2-  .

  2. Carefully remove cover -1-  on engine-compartment blower.

    Carefully unclip cover from the rubber sleeves at the front -2-  and rear -3-  .

  3. Tighten cap on the oil filler neck and coolant reservoir.

    Information 

    • Temperature changes can cause the engine-compartment blower to start up at any time (protection against overheating). 
    • Always disconnect the plug connection at the rear spoiler bracket before removal. 
  4. Release and disconnect central connector -1-  .

  5. Remove engine-compartment blower at the left and right -1-  .

    Make sure that the central connector -2-  is disconnected.

    Disconnect cable plug -3-  for engine-compartment blower.

    Pull engine-compartment blower out of the rubber sleeves at the rear -arrow 4-  first, then at the front -arrows 5-  .

    Remove engine-compartment blower.
