Draining Coolant (Underbody Coolant Pipes)
WARNING:
Hot fluid
- Danger of scalding
→ Let the fluid cool down.
→ Wear personal protective gear.
WARNING:
Caustic fluids
- Danger of chemical burns
→ Wear personal protective gear.
→ Ensure that there is good ventilation.
→ Avoid contact with caustic fluid.
→ If you do come into contact, wash off immediately with plenty of warm water and contact a doctor if necessary.
- Place collection pan under the drain position.
- Remove spring clamps -1- on plug-in couplings for coolant supply and return hoses -2- .
- Pull off coolant supply and return hoses -2-
and collect emerging coolant.
Coolant hoses on rear underbody
Information
- Replace O-rings on the cooling system.
- Clean plug connection and coolant hoses before assembly.
- Remove stoppers before Atting the coolant lines and hoses.
- Check O-ring and replace it if necessary.
Coat new O-ring with the specified lubricant.
Fit coolant hose and pull on it to check that it is fitted securely.
