Draining Coolant (Radiator)
WARNING:
Hot fluid
- Danger of scalding
→ Let the fluid cool down.
→ Wear personal protective gear.
WARNING:
Caustic fluids
- Danger of chemical burns
→ Wear personal protective gear.
→ Ensure that there is good ventilation.
→ Avoid contact with caustic fluid.
→ If you do come into contact, wash off immediately with plenty of warm water and contact a doctor if necessary.
- Place collection pan under the drain position.
- Remove coolant hose -2-
.
Remove spring clamp -1- from plug-in coupling.
Pull off coolant hose -2- .
Drain coolant into the collection pan.
Re-fit spring clamp.
Hose connections for side radiator
Information
- Replace O-rings on the cooling system.
- Clean plug connection and coolant hoses before assembly.
- Remove stoppers before fitting the coolant lines and hoses.
- Check O-ring and replace it if necessary.
Coat new O-ring with the specified lubricant.
Fit coolant hose and pull on it to check that it is fitted securely.
