Preparing Seat-Well Cross Member For Installation (Cabriolet)

Drill holes for plug-welds on the new seat-well cross member (Cabriolet) with > Diameter 8.0 mm .

Bore holes
Mark and make cut on new seat-well cross member (Cabriolet) at > Distance 7 mm .

Seat-well cross member (Cabriolet)
Fit in middle section of seat-well cross member (Cabriolet) and secure it to the body.
Drill holes for self-tapping screws through the existing holes with > Diameter 4.0 mm .
> 5X00IN24 SETTING SELF-TAPPING SCREWS

Bore holes
Remove middle section of seat-well cross member (Cabriolet).
Grind down welded seam -1- until the repair sleeve can be pushed in.

Seat-well cross member (Coupe)
Prepare marked areas -A- on middle section of seat-well cross member (Cabriolet) for bonding.

Prepare marked area -B- on middle sect on of seat-well cross member (Cabriolet) for applying a full weld using inert gas.

Grind down welded seam -1- and prepare marked areas on side section of seat-well cross member (Cabriolet) for applying a full weld using inert gas.
