Removing Corner Panel Of Rear Cover Plate (Cabriolet)

Information

Only drill through relevant component, not through all sheetmetal panels.

1. Remove punch rivets.

   Punch rivets

   PARTS DESCRIPTION 

   A	Remove punch rivets using > VAS 852 001 - body dent removal system, aluminium  and > VAS 6790 - compact booster  .
   B	Drill out punch rivets.

2. Remove metal chips and punch rivet head from the cavity. After completing the repair, apply cavity preservation.
3. Drill out punch rivets from below.

4. Heat the marked bonding areas using > V.A.G 1416 - hot-air blower.

5. Remove corner panel of rear cover plate (Cabriolet).
