Preparing Rear Side Panel (Coupe, B-Pillar Cut) For Installation
- Fit in rear side panel (Coupe, B-pillar cut).
- 1.1 Mark and cut rear side panel (Coupe, B-pillar cut) at the points where it joins the body.

Fit in rear side panel (Coupe, B-pillar cut) and secure it to the body.
Information
Mark cuts in accordance with the new part. Make sure to leave an overlap of approx. 30 mm with respect to the body.

Make cuts through the rear side panel (Coupe, B-pillar cut) and body in the overlap areas.

- Cut sheetmetal inserts to size used as a welding backing strip for the welding areas from the old rear side panel (Coupe).
- Drill holes for countersunk blind rivets through both sheetmetal panels. > Diameter 4.1 mm
- 3.1 Counterbore the rivet holes with > VAS 6957 - 100° countersink .

- Drill bore holes for countersunk rivets -A- through both sheetmetal panels. > Diameter 6.5 mm
- Drill bore holes for countersunk rivets -B- through both sheetmetal panels. > Diameter 4.1 mm
- Drill bore holes for countersunk rivets -A- through both sheet metal plates using > diameter 6.5 mm .
- Drill holes for rivets -B-
through both sheetmetal plates. > diameter 6.6 mm

- Drill bore holes for rivets through both sheet-metal panels.
> Diameter 6, 6 mm

- Prepare marked areas for bonding and riveting.
