Preparing Rear Side Panel (Coupe) For Installation
- Fit in rear side panel (Coupe).
- 1.1 Mark and cut rear side panel (Coupe) at the points where it joins the body.
- 1.2
Fit in rear side panel (Coupe) and secure it to the body.
Information
Mark cuts in accordance with the new part. Make sure to leave an overlap of approx. 30 mm with respect to the body.
- 1.3
Make cuts through the rear side panel (Coupe) and body in the overlap areas.

- Cut sheetmetal inserts used as a welding backing strip for the welding areas from the old rear side panel (Coupe).
- Drill holes for flow-form welding rivets -A-
> Diameter 7 mm

- Drill holes for countersunk blind rivets -B and C - through both sheet metal panels with > diameter 4.1 mm .
- Drill bore holes for blind rivets -A-
through both sheet metal plates using > diameter 6.6 mm

onto rear side panel (Coupe).
