Preparing Reinforcement For Installation

  1. Fit in and secure inner reinforcement.
  2. Drill bores for blind rivets through both sheetmetal panels using > Diameter 6.5 mm  .

    Bore holes

    1. 2.1  Countersink the bore holes from the outside using > VAS 6957 - Countersink 100°  .
  3. Remove inner reinforcement.
  4. Prepare the marked areas for bonding and riveting.

    Bonding area

  5. Fit in outer reinforcement and secure it to the body.
  6. Drill bore holes for blind rivets through both sheetmetal panels.

    A  > Diameter 6.6 mm 
    B  > Diameter 6.5 mm 
  7. Remove outer reinforcement.
  8. Countersink the marked bore holes from the inside using > VAS 6957 - Countersink 100°.

  9. Prepare the marked areas for bonding and riveting.
