Removing A-Pillar Reinforcement (Lower Section)

Information 

Remove component carefully.

Removed components can be re-used during installation if necessary.

1. Drill out spotwelds -B-  .

2. Remove punch rivets -A-  using > VAS 852 001 - dent removal unit  and > VAS 6790 - compact booster  .

3. Heat bonding areas using > V.A.G 1416 - hot-air blower  .

4. Remove the closing element.
5. Mark and make a cut on A-pillar reinforcement.

   > Distance 130 mm

6. Unscrew self-tapping screws -1-  .

7. Drill out spotwelds.
