Removing Upper Front Roof Frame

Information 

• Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle or a similar component.
• Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well.

1. Unscrew self-tapping screw -1-  .

2. Loosen friction element welded joint -2-  .

3. Remove punch rivets using > VAS 852 001 - Body Dent Removal System, Aluminium  and > VAS 6790 - Compact Booster  .

4. Bend up sheet-metal bracket

5. Heat bonding areas using > V.A.G 1416 - Hot-Air Blower  .

6. Lift outer roof pillar up slightly and unscrew upper Iront roof frame -1-  under the outer roof pillar -arrow-  and remove it.
