Installing Roof

Information 

• The surface coating of adhesive residue helps new adhesive to stick. Keep cut surfaces clean and free of grease and do not clean with cleaning solution.

Information 

• Two people are needed in order to insert, position and secure the roof assembly.

Information 

Have a second adhesive set ready.

1. Prepare the roof.

   Roof

   1. 1.1  Only for a new roof: Clean bonding surface -1-  with cleaning solution and prime it.

      > 6X00IN22 Working with Porsche 2-component window adhesive

   2. 1.2  Only for re-installation: When removing adhesive residue -1-  using > V.A.G 1561B - electric cutter  and flashing knife or > VAS 861 005 - scraper set  , ensure that a surface coating of adhesive residue remains.
2. Prepare adhesive for processing.

   > 6X00IN22 Working with Porsche 2-component window adhesive

3. Apply adhesive on bonding area

   Preparing frame

   LHD vehicle  > Length 50 mm 

   RHD vehicle  > Length 30 mm 

   1. 3.1  Apply a triangular bead of adhesive.

      > Application depth 15 mm 

4. Position the roof.

   > 5X00IN41 GAP DIMENSIONS

5. Tighten nuts -1-  to > Tightening torque 10 Nm  .
