Preparing Front Closing Panel For Installation
Information
- Some of the repair illustrations show only one side of the vehicle or a similar component.
- Naturally, some steps also have to be performed on the opposite side of the vehicle as well.
- Fit in front closing panel and secure it to the body.
- Drill holes for rivets.
Holes
A > Diameter 6, 5 mm B > Diameter 6, 6 mm C > Diameter 4, 1 mm - Countersink bore holes for countersunk rivets -A-
and -C-
using > VAS 6957 - 100° countersink.
Counterbores
- Prepare reinforcement for installation.
- 4.1 Fit in reinforcement and secure it to the body.
- 4.2
Drill bore holes for rivets in areas -A and B-
. > Diameter 6.5 mm
Bore holes

Countersink bore holes from the inside for installing countersunk rivets using VAS 6957 - 100° countersink.
Inner bores
Information
The countersunk rivets must be riveted in from the front in order to guarantee that the components above them are seated correctly.

Outer bores
- Remove front closing panel.
- Prepare marked areas for bonding and riveting.
