Preparing Front Closing Panel For Installation

Information 

  1. Fit in front closing panel and secure it to the body.
  2. Drill holes for rivets.

    Holes

    A > Diameter 6, 5 mm 
    B > Diameter 6, 6 mm 
    C > Diameter 4, 1 mm 
  3. Countersink bore holes for countersunk rivets -A-  and -C-  using > VAS 6957 - 100° countersink.

    Counterbores

  4. Prepare reinforcement for installation.
    1. 4.1  Fit in reinforcement and secure it to the body.
    2. 4.2  Drill bore holes for rivets in areas -A and B-  . > Diameter 6.5 mm

    3. 4.3  Countersink bore holes from the inside for installing countersunk rivets using VAS 6957 - 100° countersink.

      Inner bores

      Information 

      The countersunk rivets must  be riveted in from the front in order to guarantee that the components above them are seated correctly.

    4. 4.4  Countersink bore holes from the front for installing countersunk rivets using > VAS 6957 - 100° countersink.

      Outer bores

  5. Remove front closing panel.
  6. Prepare marked areas for bonding and riveting.
