Installing Powered Sunroof Mechanism

  1. Push drive shaft -1-  of the powered sunroof mechanism -2-  into the guide tube.

  2. Insert powered sunroof mechanism -1-  into the assembly frame -arrow-  .

  3. Fit screws -1-  and -2-  and tighten hand-tight.

  4. Fit screws -1-  and tighten hand-tight.

  5. Position retaining bracket for drive pipe -3-  and tighten screw -2-  hand-tight.

  6. Install assembly frame.

    Information 

    Fit square nut that is further away from the bore with respect to the edge up into the bracket.

    1. 6.1  Insert square nuts. > Mounting on assembly frame (shown on the 991) 
    2. 6.2  Fit screws used to secure the powered sunroof mechanism -1-  to the assembly frame and tighten hand-tight.
  7. Insert wiring harness -1-  into the guide rail -2-  .

  8. Push powered sunroof mechanism -1-  at the left and right onto the rear lock with your hand.

  9. Position metal clip -1-  and engage it in the mounting.

  10. Install safety clip -1-  .

  11. Tighten screws to the specified torque.
    1. 11.1  Screw for outer front powered sunroof mechanism. > Tightening torque 3 Nm (2 ftlb.) 
    2. 11.2  Screw for inner front powered sunroof mechanism. > Tightening torque 3 Nm (2 ftlb.) 
    3. 11.3  Screw for rear powered sunroof mechanism. > Tightening torque 3 Nm (2 ftlb.) 
    4. 11.4  Screw for guide tube retaining bracket. > Tightening torque 3 Nm (2 ftlb.) 
    5. 11.5  Screw securing powered sunroof mechanism to assembly frame. > Tightening torque 3 Nm (2 ftlb.)
