Removing Air Deflector (Operating Cable)

Installation position

1. Open sliding roof.
2. Unscrew and remove screw -1-  .

3. Move air deflector motor (operating cable) into service position.
   1. 3.1 > 9900 - PIWIS Tester 3  must be connected to the vehicle before starting the Tester.

      Diagnostic socket

   2. 3.2 Switch on ignition. 
   3. 3.3  Select → 'Sliding roof'  in the control unit selection screen (→ 'Overview'  menu).
   4. 3.4  Select the 'Drive links/checks'  menu.
   5. 3.5 'Drive links'  must be selected. Then press >> to confirm.
   6. 3.6 'Air deflector, service position'  must now be selected. Then press >> to confirm.
   7. 3.7 'Move to service position'  must be selected. Then press F8 to confirm.
   8. 3.8 Switch off ignition. 
4. Loosen air deflector motor.

   1. 4.1  Unscrew and remove screws -1-  .
5. Disengage operating cable -1-  from the guide -2-  .
