Spacer For Replacing The Vehicle Identification Number

The spacer for applying the vehicle identification number is in the front right seat cross member. Two sections are intended for use.

Section 1 -arrow A-  is the standard spacer.

Section 2 -arrow B-  is the spare spacer for a corrected vehicle identification number.

Vehicle identification number

• X > Length 142 mm 
• Y > Length 25 mm 
• Z > Length 20 mm 

Information 

• Only stamp the vehicle identification number on a cathodic dip-coated sheetmetal part. 

1. Stamp the vehicle identification number to be replaced using > VAS 6939 - Steel stamping number set  and the Porsche star > 9693 - Hand-held marking punch  in the space provided for this purpose.
2. Mask imprinted vehicle identification number
3. Paint using exterior paint.
4. Remove the vehicle identification number mark.
5. Paint repair area with clear lacquer.
