Removing Lower Part Of Front Lid Lock

Information 

The screws securing the lid lock to the bracket must not be loosened because the function of the lid lock can then no longer be guaranteed. If this instruction is not observed, the lid lock and bracket will have to be replaced. 

1. Release and disconnect electric plug connections -1-  on lower part of front lock.

2. Only for USA:  Release and disconnect electric plug connection for emergency release actuator (Trunk Entrapment).
3. Detach luggage compartment trim -1-  and pull it to the rear -arrow-  .

4. Unscrew fastening nuts -1-  on lower part of front lock -2-  .

5. Remove lower part of lock.
