Installing Front Lock Lower Part

Information 

When working close to the front apron and on the various parts of the lock, carry out the following function test before closing the lid:

• Check that the bowden cable is clipped fully into the brackets provided. 
• Check whether the electric plug connection is connected. 
• Lock lower part of lock using a screwdriver. 
• Release lower part of lid lock using the actuator in the passenger compartment. 
• Perform a visual inspection to check that the lower part of the lid lock unlocks correctly. 

Information 

On US vehicles, check that lower part of front lock is positioned exactly with respect to the servo motor for emergency release.

1. Installation is performed in reverse order.
2. Tighten fastening nuts on lower part of front lock to > Tightening torque 8 (6 ft.lb) Nm  .
