Removing Rear Side Panel (Coupe)
Information
Mark cuts in accordance with the new part. Make sure to leave an overlap of approx. 30 mm with respect to the body.
Information
Only make cuts in the top plate. Make sure not to damage the plate underneath when doing this.
- Mark and make cut -A-
on their of pillar.
Cut on roof pillar
- Mark and make cut -A-
on the outer side member. > Distance 227 mm
Cut on side member
- Loosen friction element welded joints -A-

Joints at the sides
- Remove punch rivets -B-
using > VAS 852 001 - dent removal unit
and > VAS 6790 - compact booster

- Drill out penetrated joints -C-
using > Diameter 4 mm
