Installing Rear Window
CAUTION:
Danger of material damage if specified curing time of adhesive is not observed! In order to ensure that the bonded joint is sufficiently strong, the following conditions must be adhered to:
- The vehicle must not be used until the curing time has elapsed.
- Coring time: 2 hours
- Temperature: at least 10°C
- Fixing time: approx. 1 hour

- When applying adhesive to a vehicle window, make sure there is a gap of at least > Required value 5 mm between the adhesive bead and seal profile.

- Check stop bits.
- Replace damaged or missing stop bits.

- The fixing force of the suction cup can be increased by moistening it.

must be attached to the outside of the rear window.

- Apply adhesive on the rear window.
Applying adhesive
- 2.1 For new rear windows: Apply Porsche 2-component window adhesive along the prepared area on the primer on the rear window as a triangular bead of adhesive measuring -X = approx. 15 mm-
- 2.2 For old windscreens on which adhesive has already been applied: Apply Porsche 2-component window adhesive on the old worn bead of adhesive as a triangular bead of adhesive measuring -X = approx. 15 mm-

- A helper is required to insert and align the rear window pane!
- Insert rear window into the body.
Rear window
- 3.1 Guide rear window -1- into the body aperture.
- 3.2 Position rear window on the lower edge -arrow A- above and fit it. -arrow B- above
- Adjust rear window according to gap dimensions.
- Secure rear window -1-
with suitable adhesive tape -2-
to prevent it from slipping.
Rear window
- Remove suction cups > V.A.G 1344 - Suction Lifter .
- Clean visible area.
- 7.1 Remove any adhesive that has oozed out immediately and clean the affected visible area using cleaning agent.
