Programming Navigation Update On Central Computer
NOTE:
Voltage drop
- Irreparable damage to control unit
- Damage to control unit
- Fault entries in the control unit
- Control unit programming/coding is aborted
- Malfunctions in the control unit, even during programming
→ Switch off ignition before disconnecting the control unit.
→ Make sure that the power supply is not interrupted during programming/coding.
→ Connect the battery charger with at least > current 90 A to the vehicle battery.
Information
The USB stick equipped with the market-specific NAVI data must be ordered in the PET via the regular spare parts channel.
- Switch on the ignition.
For vehicles up to MY 2021 (MIB 2), continue with Step 2.
For vehicles from MY 2022 (MIB 3), continue with Step 3.
- Insert SD card into the SD card slot on the center console.

- Insert USB stick containing the vehicle-specific data into the USB slot on the center console.
USB slot
- Select the menu Car - Control - System - Software update - Update in the display and operator control unit.
- Select Start
to start the update.
It can take a long time for the data to load.
- When the navigation update is complete, confirm with OK .
- Press Return to go back to the main menu.
- Remove SD card or USB stick from the vehicle.
- Check data connection.
- 9.1 If the LTE symbol at the top right of the display is visible, the connection is active.

- Perform a function test on the navigation system.
- Check voice control.
- 12.1 Perform voice control test.

- Switch off the ignition.
