Replacing Loudspeaker Booster
NOTE:
Voltage drop
- Irreparable damage to control unit
- Damage to control unit
- Fault entries in the control unit
- Control unit programming/coding is aborted
- Malfunctions in the control unit, even during programming
→ Switch off ignition before disconnecting the control unit.
→ Make sure that the power supply is not interrupted during programming/coding.
→ Connect the battery charger with at least > current 90 A to the vehicle battery.
Information
The PIWIS Tester instructions take precedence since the description may be different with later Tester releases.
The procedure described here has been structured in general terms; different text or additions may appear in the PIWIS Tester .
- Connect the Tester to the vehicle and start it. Switch on ignition.
- Place original remote control (hand-held transmitter) in emergency start tray.
Emergency start tray
- Select the vehicle type if required.
- Select the Amplifier control unit in the overview . Press F12 to start. The message "Create Vehicle Analysis Log (VAL)?" appears. Press F11 to continue.
- Coding/programming must be selected.
- Automatic coding
must now be selected. Press F12 to continue.
- 6.1 The Tester displays the message: Coding was completed successfully.
- Go back to the overview.
- In the overview , press F7 to switch to the Additional menu .
- Component protection start-up
must now be selected. Press F12 to continue.
- 9.1 Follow instructions and procedure.
- 9.2 Teach component protection according to menu guidance.
- 9.3 The Tester displays the message: Component protection taught.
- Go back to the overview.
- Teach combination sensor.
- 11.1 Select Airbag control unit in the overview .
- 11.2 Maintenance/repairs must now be selected.
- 11.3 Teach combination sensor must be selected. Press F12 to continue.
- 11.4 Read and follow the warnings and instructions on the Tester.
- Read out the fault memory , correct faults that are stored if necessary and clear the fault memory.
- Exit the diagnostic application. Switch off ignition. Disconnect the Tester from the vehicle.
